Emmerys Organic Cafe and Bakery

Emmerys, a 100% organic, Danish bakery chain was in need of a rebrand when their CEO visited our class.

This rebrand focusses on Emmerys long local history and pride in high quality products, proposing an elegant, yet contemporary, visual identity.

The logotype is based on an old tradition of European baking. When bakers brought dough to communal kilns it was identified with a baker’s mark, a sign or signature, an attribution of pride to something made for others to enjoy.

Taking this theme, the mark was customised as a crest would be, to tell the  story of this classic Danish bakery. 

A project completed during an exchange program at DMJX, Copenhagen.
